We have been enjoying Hannah’s York for the past few years and following her journeys through places and practice. We are delighted to have her work in our shop and to be exhibiting with us in SEASONS. ❄️ Hannah Rollings Adam’s Peak  Oil, acrylic and emulsion on canvas  2022  £450  This plein air painting captures the farm land once worked by the artist’s grandparents. It reflects a profound connection to familial history and connection to place. Come have a peek. 👁️✨ Sylwia Narbutt  Warm slash cold Mixed media on paper 2025 £240 “Finding yourself tangled in the undergrowth changes your perception. Scratched, lost and only human.” Sylwia Narbutt explores the wild and hidden in her artwork. She is interested in the haunting shapes we notice in forests, and all common land, she invites us to think about misunderstanding. From folklore to trespassing or branch shapes in the wind, the feeling of landscape engraves in our instincts. This piece comes from Narbutt’s ongoing series of drawings done on previously discarded artwork, adding layers and mixing techniques. Building up and joining the puzzles, hiding some elements, and underlining others. Quick brushwork conveys a dream-like world punctuated with urgency and unease. She is focusing on nature and landscape as a starting point but allowing repetitive movement of mark-making to guide her. . Julie Caves, Humdinger, 2025, oil on panel, 15x15c Julie Caves, Humdinger, 2025, oil on panel, 15x15cm We are very happy to include Julie Caves’s work not only in the ‘Seasons” exhibition, but in our store as well. Discover her beautiful work on our website (link in bio) . Julie Caves is a Margate-based artist who has an MA from Camberwell College of Art, studied sculpture on an Erasmus term in Valencia, Spain, completed the 2-year Turps Studio Painting Programme alternative MA in 2019 and has a certificate in Independent Curating from Central St Martins. She regularly exhibits throughout the UK and has an upcoming solo show in The Cupboard at Liminal Gallery in 2026. Julie is interested in looking at light and colour in the things we live with and the spaces we live in. She sometimes approaches the subject directly and paints roomscapes and objects from observation; at other times she focuses on the colour relationships and light separated from the subject, letting the painting develop intuitively, and those works are usually read as abstract paintings.
